In the Gasthof Aichingerwirt, gourmets get their money's worth. The cuisine at Gasthof Aichingerwirt in Sankt Lorenz am Mondsee consciously focusses on regionality. Our hotel cultivated this philosophy of enjoyment even before terms such as "slow food" existed. We offer our guests warm hospitality, excellent service and hearty delicacies. Enjoy a successful combination of traditional Austrian and nouvelle cuisine. Our kitchen team emphasises fresh preparation and the avoidance of convenience products. We use regional, fresh ingredients and present a seasonal menu that perfectly represents the Salzkammergut and its seasons.
The Ellmauer family has stood for hospitality and gourmet cuisine in Sankt Lorenz am Mondsee since 1854.

The regional delights at Gasthof Aichingerwirt are characterised by the variety of wonderful ingredients from the natural landscape of the Salzkammergut. The clear waters of the region offer fish specialities such as char and rainanken. Seasonal fruit and vegetables, as well as tasty cheese specialities from our farmers, provide the basis for enjoyment, as does the Aichingerwirt's own highland cattle breeding. The kitchen team in Sankt Lorenz can therefore draw on the full range of ingredients to create delicacies that will tempt your palate and win your heart by storm!

The Gasthof Aichingerwirt offers its guests a modern interpretation of traditional Austrian cuisine. Our kitchen team skilfully combines the heartiness of classic Austrian dishes with modern lightness. The result is a culinary journey that leaves nothing to be desired, from savoury to sweet. A speciality is the in-house breeding of highland cattle: This allows us to offer our customers tender steaks and fine delicacies from highland cattle that are rarely served in this perfection.

Accessibility / arrivalComing from the west, i.e. from the direction of the city of Salzburg, take the exit of the A1 Westautobahn in the direction of Thalgau. Then drive along the road in the direction of Thalgau / Mondsee. You will come directly through the village of Thalgau and after a few minutes' drive you will reach the "Aichingerwirt" on the left. Coming from the east, i.e. from the direction of Vienna / Linz, take the A1 exit towards Mondsee. Then drive through Mondsee and turn off at the second roundabout in the direction of Thalgau. This street leads you directly to the "Aichingerwirt" on the right side of the street.
We are also easy to reach by public transport. From Salzburg main station buses run every half hour in the direction of Thalgau / Mondsee, the "Eichingerbauer" bus stop is right in front of our house.
